Painting continued...
There's been more progress with the painting this week when we went up to see what they have done.
Nothing else had been touched as we thought but all in all, progress is slow I guess

The painting begins
We went up to see what or if anything had progressed on the house last night since the weather this week has turned awful
Our first thought as we drove up the service road was that nothing had been done, then as we got closer to the house we were shocked to see that they had started painting...woohoo
We were actually gobsmacked at how good it actually was and wondered if it was just the first coat or not cause as soon as we got out of the car to take a closer look, it started raining
Still, the photographer in me couldn't resist :) Nor could I resist getting a pic of the rainbow!
After we got home, I was going through the pics on my phone and noticed that the gable on the garage was done too, yay. Hopefully this means the alfresco trusses are on too and they'll start putting the tiles on them
Can't wait to go up again on Saturday and see how much more they do, until then...

Rendering
After a week and a bit of no activity, finally the renderers started and apparently there were up to 15 guys working on the house!
We were going to go up on Sunday (my day off work) but I just want to see it now so we drove up at around 6pm to take a look
They say the devil's in the detail and boy they weren't wrong, we were shocked to see how much detail had gone into it and seriously not knowing that there would be so much...yay
Hopefully they'll be back today (Saturday) to finish off and then the carpenters can come back and finish off the roof and gables
we are yet to see what they do around the laundry side of the house as they said it would be done in some type of light weight material! We assumed that would be something like 'Blue board' since that was delivered last week with the stuff they use for eaves but it looks like it was used on the face of the gable...see 1st pic below
Speaking of the eaves, most have been done and I noticed that they had delivered some (I thought they might have been the skirting) boards which were lying in the kitchen/meals so not sure what they're for
I'm not sure what type finish I want for the 4 gables but love, love, love to have some type of decorative finish in timber just to break it up

We even get some detail in the outdoor kitchen! |
